All of our Modern Farmhouse Candles are hand poured in small batches using 100% pure American grown natural soy wax, cotton wicks and phthalate-free fragrances to ensure a clean long lasting burn every time!

CANDLE USAGE

- First Burn: When you receive your Birchnook Candle Co. candle, it’s important that you let it burn for about 3-4 hours at a time. This allows the candle to create a full melt pool (surface melts to the edges of the candle). Failure to do so or extinguishing your candle before a full melt pool forms, can result in tunneling, poor scent throw, poor burn time, and overall poor performance of the candle.

- Wick Care: Use a wick trimmer to trim your wick prior to each burn. It’s best to keep the wick trimmed to 1/4” inches to ensure a safe, even burn. Trimming the wick properly will help with not producing soot buildup (black smoke).

- Do not use any candle lid to extinguish the flame. The flame can melt the lid, avoid doing so.

- Do not burn your candle no longer than 3-4 hours. This helps with candle longevity.

- Stop using your candle when 1/4” of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.
